Tom Interrante

Tom is a 23-year broadcast veteran. Since 2011 when he joined as Director of Sales at WXPN, a non-commercial public FM radio station licensed to University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, the station has expanded into three connected geographic areas including the Philadelphia region, Central Pennsylvania, and North Jersey regions. Tom has enabled his team to set new revenue benchmarks within the national NPR system. Under his leadership, the WXPN annual music festival has been transformed into the largest National Public Radio (NPR) event in the nation for attendance as well as revenue. His diverse experience includes leadership positions at CBS Radio, Cox Radio and Clear Channel Radio.

His leadership style fosters a culture of learning, and he designs and supports a culture of a flexible mindset, independent thirst for knowledge, and shared learning focused on the mission and goals of my organization. His organizational goal is to assist the development of team core competencies, design skills and deep analytic skills.

Tom earned a BA degree from The Pennsylvania State University and previously was an adjunct professor at the University of Central Florida teaching Broadcast Management to undergraduate students. He is currently an MS degree student in the Organizational Dynamics program at the University of Pennsylvania.
