Odell Jones

Odell Jones has more than 25 years of leadership experience in academic scientific research, and is the coauthor of 9 published academic papers. He is Associate Director of Operations in the animal care group of the School of Medicine at University of Pennsylvania with responsibilities for administration of 12 complex animal research facilities and leadership of the labs’ technicians, managers, and supervisors. Previously, he was Assistant Operations Director of the Division of Laboratory Animal Medicine at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill.

Odell served meritoriously in the Gulf War as a Clinical Laboratory Specialist with the 312th Evacuation Hospital Greensboro, NC, and as Clinical Laboratory Specialist Non-Commissioned Officer in Charge with the 7236th Hospital Support Unit and 3274th Hospital Support Unit, Fort Bragg, NC.

Odell completed a B.S. in Laboratory Animal Science from North Carolina A&T State University, M.S. in Biotechnology Management and M.B.A. from the University of Maryland University College, and he is a Doctor of Management student in Strategic Leadership at Thomas Jefferson University.
