Reverend Sung-Won Paek

I am the pastoral care leader at Grand View Health a community health system that has served generations of residents in suburban Philadelphia since 1913. I serve on the administration team, am developing the pastoral care department, and will be developing the programs of diversity, inclusion, and community engagement. I am also Casual Chaplain at Abington-Jefferson Health and PRN Chaplain at Penn Medicine and the Penn Health System. Previously, I was the Cultural Development Specialist at Einstein Healthcare Network in Philadelphia. I also served on the administration team at MossRehab/Einstein Medical Center Elkins Park, and was the liaison between Einstein staff, patients, families of Asian descent, and between the hospital and the local community.

Since 2012, I have been President/Executive Director of the Institute of Korean Studies which creates training and educational programs specializing in international relations, team building, organizational effectiveness, and change management. Clients have included corporations, colleges and universities, state agencies, public schools, hospitals, not-for-profit organizations, and social service agencies.

Since 2019, I have been Director of Korean Projects for Systems Wisdom LLC. In this capacity, I have led or have been involved in all educational, consulting, and research activities designed to improve organizational understanding and performance within Korean enterprises. In 2021, I founded Systems Wisdom Korea Ltd in Korea.

I earned a BA in Sociology and Religion from the Bryn Athyn College of the New Church; Master of Religious Study and Master of Divinity from the Academy of New Church Theological School; and Master of Healthcare Administration from St. Joseph's University. I am currently writing my dissertation as a candidate for the degree, Doctor of Management in Strategic Leadership degree at Thomas Jefferson University.
