Sudden Cardiac Arrest Survival
SCAFoundation | May 12, 2011: "Researchers from the Organizational Dynamics Program at the University of Pennsylvania hosted a meeting on April 29 designed to encourage participants to view survival from sudden cardiac arrest (SCA) occurring outside hospitals from a perspective that challenges current thinking."
The Chain of Survival is a common metaphor used to understand some of the forces that contribute to SCA survival. But, this chain image is incomplete, limited, and misleading. We argue that there are many other important forces and relationships which must be understood and managed if SCA survival is to be improved.
