Growing up in public housing in Meridian, Mississippi and being provided an opportunity to participate in Boys and Girls Club, William Myles gained valuable experience working, communicating, and impacting the community through the arts as he established the largest youth choir in the city of Meridian. This choir assembled at-risk youth throughout the city providing them alternative solutions to the streets. While maintaining this volunteer role, he was also Resources Center Activities Director then Director of Community and Supportive Services at the Meridian Housing Authority.
William is now Executive Vice President of Community Operations and Resident Development at the Philadelphia Housing Authority (PHA) the biggest landlord in Pennsylvania and the nation’s fourth largest housing authority. Working in partnership with the city and state governments as well as private investors, he oversees a department responsible for providing social, educational, and other self-sufficiency opportunities to over 80,000 low to very low income residents of Philadelphia.
William earned a BA in Advertising from the University of Southern Mississippi, an MBA Degree from the University of Phoenix, and he is currently a Doctor of Management student in Strategic Leadership at Philadelphia University.
