As a consultant statistician and contractor software developer, I have developed solutions for the energy, digital security, retail, and finance sectors. Some of these projects are time-critical and/or mission critical; many are directly facing customers and are business-driven; all are concerned with data. I also contribute to the statistical research frontier by developing efficient and scalable algorithms that utilize state-of-the-art computing platforms.
I've had 15 years experience in software development, development of statistical algorithms and high-performance computing that revolve around data analytics. I am working with researchers in Statistics, Econometrics and Computer Science in Australia, North America and Asia on problems that can be addressed by non- or semi- parametric Bayesian methods. One of my core competencies for data analytic problems is my ability to integrate the interests and perspectives of the relevant stakeholders such as data scientist, statistician, and programmer.
I earned a Ph.D. in Computer Science from the National University of Singapore in the area of Machine Learning, and I am working on a second Ph.D. in Statistics from the University of New South Wales, Australia.
